Professor emeritus of neurology at the University of Zurich, Jiri Dvorak is a senior consultant in neurology and research at the Schulthess Klinik, Spine Center in Zurich. He also serves as a senior advisor for the British Journal of Sports Medicine, and as an editor of Brain and Spine. He has published 462 articles and several textbooks. As a former chairman of F-MARC (FIFA Medical Assessment and Research Centre) and chief medical officer of FIFA, he oversaw the medical organization for six FIFA World Cups and five FIFA Women’s World Cups. His contribution to spine research focuses on clinical biomechanics and sports injury prevention.
