Huy Hoang is the founder of Shishi-Iwa House, a mountain retreat in Japan Alps, dedicated to rest, reflection, and renewal. An Asian American raised in Chicago, he studied chemical engineering at Northwestern University and later earned an MBA in finance from Columbia Business School in New York. He spent over three decades in investment banking and hedge fund management. Amid the intensity of a career in finance, Huy developed a deep appreciation for art and architecture to engage the mind beyond numbers—seeking balance, clarity, and intellectual depth.
