2026 Symposium Opening Reception: Mark Rivers

The Global Wellness Summit (GWS) will host its 5th annual Wellness Real Estate & Communities Symposium on May 12, 2026 at The Assembly at 2 Park Avenue in New York City, convening leaders across real estate, hospitality, design, and investment to explore how wellness is reshaping the built environment.

Newly announced speaker Mark Rivers, CEO of Canyon Ranch, will join GWS media and trends analyst Jane Kitchen for a keynote conversation on the brand’s forthcoming Austin resort—its first ground-up development—which will include 134 residences. The conversation will highlight how these homes reflect a growing trend toward “longevity residences,” as identified in the GWS Future of Wellness 2026 Trends report, integrating innovations in longevity and women’s health into residential living.

The Symposium will begin with an opening reception from 6 to 8 pm on May 11 at The Greenwich by Rafael Viñoly, one of the architect’s final works and a standout example of wellness-led design. The building dedicates more than 27,000 square feet of amenities over 800 feet above the city—reserving its top floors for wellness rather than penthouses—making it a fitting setting to convene leaders and showcase how wellbeing is redefining real estate.

Under the theme “Real Estate Through a Wellness Lens,” the symposium will examine the $548 billion wellness real estate sector and the projects redefining health-focused, human-centered design.
