Global Wellness Summit Launches a “Reverse Pitch” Series to Help Wellness Entrepreneurs Navigate Funding Options

The first event features Amir Alroy and Galit Horovitz, co-founders of Israel’s Welltech Ventures, who will share how they make investment decisions and explain what makes a winning investor pitch

The Global Wellness Summit (GWS), an organization at the heart of the multitrillion-dollar global wellness economy, today introduced a “Reverse Pitch” series. The idea for this unique concept was crystalized during a 2020 GWS session that featured 11 top wellness investors “reverse pitching” themselves to wellness entrepreneurs/businesses in the audience, inviting them to send a business pitch to the investor that they felt synced best with their project.

“This is a new opportunity to learn what wellness investors are looking for – and how to get funding for an idea,” said Nancy Davis, GWS chief creative officer and executive director. “There’s no question that a golden age for investment in health and wellness has arrived, and we want to give companies real-world insight into how investors make decisions, so they can get their slice of the $4.5 trillion global wellness market.”

In the first GWS “Reverse Pitch” event, Amir Alroy and Galit Horovitz, co-founders of Israel’s Welltech Ventures, will explain what type of health and wellness ideas they’re looking for and exactly why they decide to invest in certain companies. Three of the companies Welltech has funded will then discuss what it’s like to receive investment and share their successful pitch strategies.

Register to attend “Reverse Pitch: Hearing from Investors,” which will take place on Zoom, 10 a.m. ET, Wednesday, March 10.

An in-depth Q&A will follow the presentation.
