Co-founder, Desa Potato Head, Indonesia

Ronald Akili is the co-founder of Potato Head, a platform built around culture, creativity, and the belief that good times are made better when they do good. His work began in Yogyakarta with Ark Galerie, supporting Indonesian artists on a global stage. Then Tanah Teduh in Jakarta, a residential project showcasing contemporary Indonesian architecture. In 2009, he opened the first Potato Head as a restaurant, together with his wife, who was the chef. Bali followed in 2010 with Potato Head Beach Club, then a hotel in 2016. Over time, the idea grew into Desa Potato Head Bali, a creative village rooted in the place it sits in, where culture, community, and hospitality are built to give back.
