Katrine Formby is vice-president of Sable Investments. In 1999, Sable Investments purchased the historical First National Bank Building in Telluride, Colorado, and spent the next 20 years restoring the 1892 building, including rebuilding the iconic tower. In 2026, Katrine, along with fellow filmmaker Sara Bordo, made a documentary about the historical restoration, titled The Nugget Building—A Telluride Restoration Story. Formby serves as a trustee for the HBCU Huston-Tillotson University in Austin, Texas. In 2026, Governor Greg Abbott appointed Formby to the Governor’s Commission for Women.
