This year, the Global Wellness Summit will celebrate its 15th anniversary! A remarkable achievement in a perfect world, and we all know this world is far from perfect.

What began in 2006 as an idea among a small group of spa executives has grown into the most respected and well-attended business event in the wellness industry. Many of you have been on this incredible journey with us; I joined in 2013, in India, and I often say that when His Holiness the Dalai Lama walked into the room to address the delegates, I knew I had come home.

In the U.S., the 15th anniversary is known as the “crystal anniversary”, when you are supposed to give crystal items to the honoree. Please don’t ship any candy dishes! Instead, come celebrate with us in Boston.

If I had one piece of crystal—a crystal ball—I would see this year’s theme of “A NEW New Era in Health & Wellness” come alive through ground-breaking research on the wellness economy. I would see the intersection of music and mental health as only a millennial could imagine. I would see doctors, big Pharma and wellness executives share the stage and admit they need each other. I would see a global conversation about wellness shaping how we work in a COVID world. I would see world-renowned architects reframe where and how we live. I would see traditional education challenged. I would see lounges for breathwork, a Reverse Pitch with hungry investors, and more surprises than I can name.

And I see us all, vaccinated, masked, appropriately distanced, but feeling a close connection that comes only once a year, at the Global Wellness Summit.

I think celebrating—sharing joy and triumph—is wellness at its best. Join me in Boston, as together we chart the course for the future of the wellness industry, and celebrate how far we’ve come.

You don’t want to miss this party!

Warmest regards,
Nancy
